Welcome to the new Terrell Society of America, Inc. web site.

 

We maintained a smaller site for several years consisting mainly of indexes, publication lists, and information about either contacting and/or joining us.  Our postings on that web site were limited mainly to text because we did not have space to post pictures, documents, or other large files.

 

With this new site, we hope to be able to post more items of interest to you as well as to get set up where you can upload information to us via this site instead of having to attach it to an e-mail.

 

 

We have tried to make this site "user friendly" by using large, unique naviagiton buttons to move through the site instead of the small ones usually found in other web sites.We suggest that you print this page and keep it handy while you visit our site.  Your ideas and comments are always welcomed.  Enjoy!

 

1.  Except for pages that we would like for you to read entirely, navigation buttons are at the top, right of the page.  These always include: PREVIOUS PAGE, NEXT PAGE, and, HOME. 

Some pages have links to other pages imbeded at or near the bottom of the information.  You may either return to the top of the page to navigate, or use your "Back" browser button to return to your previous page.

Some pages contain links to pages in other sites.  Clicking on those will take you away from our site.  We suggest that you add our site to "Favorites" before clicking on those links.  Sites may change web addresses.  If you find a link does not work, please advise us so that we can either remove or modify the link.

 

2. You should be able to search most pages with the "Search this page" drop down of the "Edit" Menu of your browser.  The exceptions to this are the new FREE PUBLICATIONS which are a series of images of the original publications with little or no text inserted into them.  You will have to either read these on the screen, print them, or copy the images and save them to a file on your computer.

 

3. We are trying to use background color to assist you in knowing the type of page you are viewing. 

Yellow, like this page is used for general information, joining us, etc. 

Green is used for the TERRELL varations in our new Master index. 

Gray is used for our Officer pages.  We have a page for each officer where information (either personal or pertaining to the Society) may be posted as the officer wishes.  Not all officers have chosen to reveal personal information.

Other pages such as ourLENDING LIBRARY ORDER FORM and indexes for the surnames besides TERRELL in our Master Index have backgrounds of other colors. 

 

We will try to keep the pages of each section in sequence, however due to changing and inserting new pages, we may not be able to always do this.  If the color changes when you select either "Previous Page" or "Next Page" and you have not reached the end of a segment, either use your broswer "Back" button, or the page navigation buttons to continue in the direction that you are going.  If there is more of the section you are viewing, the color will change back in a few pages.
